A Very Impressive Model

This thing has such a presence on the track, it's quite hard to put into words (yet here I am not posting a picture or video...). This instantly became a favorite model of mine and I am glad Accurascale revisited this unusual livery in their second batch. Considering it sold out very quickly, let's hope for everyone else's sake that Accurascale are not quite done with Mr. 9016 Gordon Highlander just yet.

A Stunner

A stunning loco, and performs excellently. The livery is a real novelty to have too.
I know that safe packaging is important, but I just wish the boxes didn't take up quite so much space.

Deltic 9016

My 2nd Deltic and like the 1st it's a incredible loco.
The loco and livery look great and after running in it runs superb without any issues.
Would like many more in the future if my finances allow.

Fantastic livery

I missed out on the first run of this livery and so got my preorder in as soon as the second run was announced. I have blue and green liveried examples from the first run and was blown away by the exceptional detail that Accurascale have put into these models. All three run smoothly and silently pulling long rakes of coaches without any trouble. The Porterbrook livery looks fantastic and I can't fault the paint job. I would highly recommend this model and have been extremely satisfied with this and a number of Accurascale's other models to date.

Porterbrook Perfect !

My gift to self (robustly packaged & craftly built by Accurascale) is simply, Porterbrook Perfect !
First impressions based on sheer weight, overall package size, colour and graphics are delicious for a Deltic.
The finer details, for example, the sturdy cardboard box ends, with printed ‘accurascale’ - the coordinated colours of the main outer box which perfectly match the loco itself, are a credit to the creativity of the design team. The colour printed booklet, the sculptured metal signage, down to the presentation certificate signed by the wider team, all culminates in proudly owning a top quality model.
This is my first Accurascale loco purchase. It will certainly, not be my last.

Wow ! Brilliant loco, ridiculous amount of packaging.

How a loco runs is very important to me. I don't care how nice something looks, if it doesn't run well then it's not going to be a satisfying operating session or a worthwhile model.
This ran superbly straight out of the box. No stuttering on the slightly dirty bits, and no problems on the one bit of track that needs some attention. Fantastic low speed control even if it isn't a shunting loco, and a sensible top speed: none of this nothing, or flat out rubbish (hello H-----).
The one criticism is the ridiculous amount of packaging. The box is way too big, I am keeping the loco in the transparent inner bit and the box has gone into storage, that way it doesn't take up too much room on the shelf.

The Purple Monster

I just received the second release of 9016. This is an impressive model. The weight is amazing. The detailing and finish on this model is quite striking. Although 9016 only carried this livery for a relatively brief time, it would make an eye-catching sight on any 1999-early 2000s era layout.
