Raised above their own bar!

There have been huge advances in the quality of RTR in the last 20 years and in more recent times advances in manufacturing and technology have seen manufacturers competing with each other to bring to the market something new and better than what has gone before. Accurascale lead this charge and objectively are bringing the greatest fidelity and innovation to the market at the lowest price point of any of their competitors..

I model the 1960's era so limiting my purchasing to models that fit this era I am confident that the 30/31 is the best RTR diesel currently on the market appropriate to my era. It has an inherent 'rightness' that is hard to define but the model looks exactly like it has been lifted from a colour photo. It is superb straight from the box and I have to say its a model I sometimes just stare at - soaking in the wealth and depth of detail. There is something about it that lifts it above the Deltic and the 37. I've thought in the past that Accurascales paint is a little flat but in fact its very fine and subtle and emphasises the detail rather than masking it.

Running quality is smooth, quiet and powerful. Although my model is of the Class 30 I've fitted the Class 31 Accurascale sound chip - I've never heard an original Mirrlees whereas I'm very familiar with 31s. Fitting is straight forward and though the body needs to come off this is an easy procedure - just be careful when replacing the body to ease it on evenly so that all of the bodyside clips properly engage. The sound project is excellent.

Accurascale are going from strength to strength and delivering to market consistently the best models at the keenest prices. This is I feel an objective fact.

Setting a new standard

I now have quite a few Accurascale locos and this is one of my favourites. There is usual amazing level of detail that Accurascale are now known for - the cabs and the bogies are particularly nicely detailed with painted axle boxes and pipework, a working fan ... and all backed up by Accurascale's lifetime warranty. One very minor gripe - I wish they would have the upgrade bundles in stock so that I could buy everything together.

silky smooth

This outstanding model excels in detail plus running operation. Fitted with essential flywheels, stay alive running and 5 pole motor, its slow running is silky smooth. Model was so good I had to buy a sound decoder to go with it. Now a flagship model in my collection.

Class 30 in BR green with small yellow panels

Another great model from Accurascale. Ran smooth as silk straight out of the box.

Great detail, lovely runner, has the weight to easily pull a long rake. The lights are the right tone and the magnetic roof panel makes access easy. All at an affordable price.

Stunning class 30

Was fortunate enough to be able to buy the recently released class 30. Similar to other previously purchased Accurascale locomotives, this one did not disappoint in any way. Well done again guys.

Class 30 BR Green

Bought D5615 and have to say it has the to be the best one of this type. The colour and detailing is very good. I think the Mainline blue class 31 will come a close second in to this one. Well done Accurascale for another great model. Bring on the class 50s

D5615 - Impulse purchase

I had planned to order one on Pre Order only to discover it was “Out of Stock”. Delighted to see it back in stock and purchased immediately with sound and EM wheels. Lovely bit of kit 😊. Could do with a bit more info on fitting the AccuraThrash speaker as it’s not a straightforward fit and EM wheels sets have no guidance.

A Fine Model

It runs well. It looks nice. The lights work. Nothing fell off in transit. Thank you, next?
