Part of the ‘Transporting Britain’ range, these coaches were synonymous with the East Anglian commuter traffic heading in and out of Kings Cross, Moorgate and Liverpool Street, however their use extended beyond just the capital, being used across the Eastern, Western, Midland and Scottish regions.

Blue Suburban Coaches

Absolutely love these blue suburban coaches, first I bought six from Accurascale direct, was so impressed that I bought another four from the factory, plus two more from Kernow Models. So now I can create two outer suburban rakes, or cover every permutation of longer single rakes, including the one with five SLOs. Thank you Accurascale, I am very pleased.

Simply the best Mk1 I have ever seen, but lighting UGH!

These coaches detail, finish & performance is second to none. These are wonderful coaches, however - there is always a caveat. The lighting! Blue era coaches were lit with incandescent lightbulbs which started off yellow and then got even more yellow with cigarette smoke! Not the daylight white LED's we have here. There seems to always be some shortcoming with Accurascale. I'll be giving mine a brown wash hoping to emulate years of tar deposits......

Fantastic under carrier detailling, clean coach work finish and accuaret modelings. Make Rake of 5 runs well behindAccurascale Deltics and awaiting Class 31s. Lighting a bonus and with battery back-up does not flicker.
